The demining battalion was established on 5 June 2023 as a structural unit of the 762nd Security Regiment of the State Special Transport Service of Ukraine.
On 21 September 2024 the unit was reorganised into the 13th Separate Demining Battalion.
The battalion performs demining of agricultural land and de-occupied territories, and takes part in the construction of fortification structures.
The 13 SDB is not just "another unit". It is a certified SSTS structure with a clear mission: we return the land to the people.

Four official SSTS certificates as a mine action operator. We work by international standards, not by intuition.
Full training course for 8 of 11 positions. What matters is responsibility and willingness to learn. We'll teach you the rest — from mine detectors to robotic demining systems.

On 20 January 2025, the 13 SDB obtained four certificates of conformity as a mine action operator for the following processes:
For most positions we accept candidates without experience — a full training course is provided.
Performs specialised engineering and demining tasks in de-occupied territories to ensure public safety and prepare land for civilian use.

Operates specialised machinery and robotic systems to clear territories from explosive ordnance.

A military specialist who controls unmanned aerial vehicles, monitors their operation, and conducts analytical assessment of collected intelligence.
No experience needed
Combines tasks of operating electronic warfare systems against enemy UAVs with rifleman duties for direct protection of positions.
Responsible for documentation, record-keeping, and internal document flow at HQ. Basic computer skills welcome.
Training provided
Finance and economics specialist responsible for property/cash accounting and payroll. Knowledge of budget-sector regulations is desirable.
Monitors personnel health, supervises sanitary conditions, escorts patients, maintains medical records.
Responsible for timely task execution and keeping assigned vehicles in good condition. From you — experience and no bad habits. From us — respect and modern equipment.
Performs excavation work with an excavator, ensures safety and proper machine operation.
Experience required
Ensures uninterrupted communication, delivery of operational information, and configuration of communications equipment between HQ and units.
Computer skills required
Preparation of quality balanced meals for service members, primary culinary processing of raw ingredients.
